Always matter
The young man stood alone, in an abandoned cemetary, on the edge of town, in front of a forgotten grave. Sadly, he uprooted the weeds, and cleaned of the grave, the beautiful carving of an angel coming into view again. Setting down the bouquet of lilies he brought, he was left to his memories. He remembered all the times that they were together, through the good and bad. He remembered the car accident, which had killed his mother on impact, and his sister had been dead on arrival. He was so lost in thought he didn't hear the other appear. "Who are you?" The stranger asked. "Someone who doesn't matter anymore." The man replied calmly. The stranger, a girl now in her late teens stared at him. "Don't say that! I met her only once, back when I was only 6 but even now I remember what she said!"? ' everyone matters. Don't worry that those bullies made fun of your hair, or that they called you names. Everyone has a purpose in this world, and it's up to you to find it!' the girl recalled the memory with a faint smile. "She was a light in a deep darkness, and she brought me back. Please, don't give up on yourself!" The boy made an odd face to this, as if he were trying to smile. "She could do that, couldn't she? Bring people back from darkness?" The boy, looking aged from his mourning, slowly got up and walked away. "Oh, and thanks. This is the second time you've helped me." The girl looked confused, as the man walked away, his white hair dampened by the rain. He smiled to himself, his first real smile in many years. The orange haired girl had forgotten the twin in the background that day, how, when she had saved the boy from stumbling onto the road, he had thanked her only to be told that it didn't matter, she didn't matter. His sister had lectured her so long that day, and gave her a new hope. The orange haired beauty had saved his life twice now. What were the chances of that?
A\N: wow, did not expect it to end like that! I honestly did not expect to put that pairing in there (cookies to those who can guess the {pretty obvious} pair). Well, thanks for reading, and please review!
