The snow on the ground lies still, with the coldness striking between everyone. Streams of frustration runs through Harry as he opens a smudged piece of parchment Hedwig just delivered. Ron and Hermione stood close by with sweat running on their faces. Harry opened the letter and it reads:
Now that you have opened me
The secret is already out
You'll find me devastating
Regretting you taking me out.
The secret lies beyond the sea
The people and the castle,
But you will find me interesting
When you're over your hassles.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione read and reread the letter over and over, looking for clues for what message it might be bringing.

"I don't get it, why would they say the secret is out if it doesn't say anything?" Ron asked stupidly.

Harry stared out the window for a moment, then turning back.

"Don't be stupid, Ron, it means whatever they want you to know will appear when you guys stop worrying," Hermione said as she wiped her face looking proud.

"Whatever it is, I'm not worrying about it right now, I'm going to bed," said Harry.

"See, that's exactly what the letter is telling you, off you go Harry," Hermione said, looking pleased. "Ron, C'mon, go to bed, you have a long day tomorrow. Double potions, let's go."

Harry walked up to his bed. His scar felt like lightning stroke him. He lies down with a bad feeling.
