A/N I've written other pairings but this is my first
CJ/Danny story.

CJ smiled as she sniffed the air and glanced at the beautiful
colored leaves on the trees. Autumn. Her favorite time of year. she
loved the way the air smelled and the temperature-- not really hot
anymore, yet not too cold yet. CJ loved peaceful moments like these
on her way into work in the mornings. She knew her peaceful moment
would be shot by one of the frat boys once she got to work, but for
now she enjoyed the fact that it was autumn and there were no major
elections.
She'd decided upon moving to Washington that the red leaves were
her favorite. Red--the word made her think of Danny. That thought
brought another smile to her face. She really did love Danny, but
tried hard not to show it. Lately though she didn't have the heart
or energy to say no when he'd asked her out. As a result, they'd
shared a couple of nice and quiet dinners getting to know each other
better.
After signing in at the lobby, CJ made her way to her office and
flipped on the light. Laying on her desk amongst a little pile of
colorful, fall leaves, was a peach-orange rose, a yellow rose and a
red rose--the colors of fall. The note laying next to it said:
"Just Because"
Love, Danny
With that CJ smiled and began her day.
