Holes
By: Lily DeSilva
Summary: A poem, Wes POV about Fred's death. Worthy of the entire Kleenex box…
A/N: I wrote this at camp, and won a poem contest with it. Even the judges were crying…

There's a hole in the world
Where you once stood
Smiling
Laughing
But not anymore

They snatched you away
Far too quickly
Too soon
There wasn't enough time
Not for us.

There's a hole in my heart
Once your place, just for you
Now torn apart
A black, empty space
So cold
So dark

If you would dare to think
That it doesn't hurt
Deep down inside
I'd say
Why, I'd say you were crazy
The pain is so bad, so immense, so great
It's too much

There's a hole in the sky
And the stars are falling down
The sky is crying
Weeping
For you
For me
For us

And I sit
And I cry
In the corner of the room
And I ponder
And I question
Why? Why you?

There's a hole in my life
Just empty space
While the world moves on around me
I just sit
That's all
Why?
Because you're not there
Not anymore.

There's a hole in my life
There's a hole in the sky
And there's a hole in my heart
But mostly
When it comes down to it
Just because you're not there
To smile
To laugh
To love
Just because you're not there
To simply hold my had when I'm sad
Or to hold me close when I'm scared
Really, at the end of the day
There's a hole in the world.
