Author Note: The idea for this fanfiction came to me in a dream. Crazy how I literally dreaming about this. Anyway, my plan is to try this as a multi chapter fic, so this is a work in progress. This will also be my first time exploring Ichabod/Abbie as a couple.

Prologue
If you had told her three years ago this would be her life, she wouldn't have believed you.
If you told her three years ago that she'd be lying in bed with a two-hundred year old man, she would've said "you lost your mind."
And regardless of that little fact, Abbie found herself in bed with Ichabod, him spooning her and sound asleep himself. She could tell from his soft in and out breathing.
Part of her smiled as she thought about Ichabod. When he was sleep, it was hard to imagine this being the demon catching, fact checking, sarcastic person that she'd grown to love. Yes love. There had been an underlying sense of it, but until recently had they begun to act on it.
It had nothing to do with Katrina…well maybe. After Katrina crossed to the dark side, vanquishing her had been hard on Ichabod. She understood. Katrina was his wife, his love and the closest thing he had that would remind him of the nineteenth century other than his overcoat.
She'd never been the type of woman to destroy a happy home, but one moment led to another and although they never admitted out loud their love for each other, she knew that Ichabod shared her feelings.
Ichabod turned slightly in his slumber, fly-aways from his hair slightly tickled Abbie's arm. A smile tugged at her mouth. This man. And he fell right back to sleep. She cuddled in closer to him and fell asleep too.
