Hi guys! So, this is my second story and I'm still only learning, but please, some feedback would be much appreciated.
DISCLAIMER; I do not own Stephanie Meyer or the twilight trilogy in book or film form. This is for entertainment purposes ONLY.
My heart pounded erratically against my ribs as I drove toward the Black's house, into what was werewolf territory. I was nervous, so nervous that my whole body was consumed by shivers; I had to tell him, I had to tell Jake that whatever it was, whatever he was wishing for, what a small part of me might have also been wishing for could never happen.
The sky, just as it always was, was a dreary grey, streaked with lines of something darker, something stormy. As the corners of my eyes caught the flash of trees beside my truck, my mind was enveloped by a wave of what should have been merely passing thoughts.
I, Bella Swan, had never once expected that I would end up in a love triangle, in fact, something that may have been even only in slight comparison had never crossed my mind, up until a few months ago, when my life had hit the limit of strange, well at least I thought it had, but honestly, I knew oddity had no limits.
I wished the trip had lasted longer, I wished I hadn't hopped in my truck with such a stupid notion implanted in my brain at all, I was starting to regret this already, but I knew I had to do it, there was no turning back now.
I turned down a dirt road fringed by pine trees, tall pine trees, trees that all but blocked the view ahead, and I found myself wishing that they actually could have blocked it more, for there, rising in the middle of a flat piece of land, was Jake's house.
Oh, how fun this isn't going to be.
My legs felt as if they had been forged from led as I pulled into the drive, and it only got worse when I sat there, looking doped, almost unable to move.
"Bella, what brings you here on such a sunny day?" A deep voice boomed from a few meters away only moments after I had swung the driver's side door open.
"Hi, Billy, oh I know, I should have decided to go to the beach instead." I joked.
"Jake's out, but I'm sure he'll be back soon." Billy Black explained, his hands fixed, just as they always were, at the sides of his wheelchair. "Come inside before this sunny day shows you just how 'sunny' it's going to get."
Taking the much older Black up on his offer, I finally found the strength to get out of the truck, a weight lifted off my shoulders what seemed like physically and mentally as relief washed over me in bucket loads at the realization that I wouldn't have to face Jacob for a few more minutes, perhaps, or with my luck, seconds.
The place was cosy enough, or at least it was cosy until my blood ran cold at the sight of a young man with jet black hair, a straight jaw, somewhat copper skin and warm brown eyes.
You did this to yourself, Bella.
Rubbing my arm awkwardly I gave a small wave in his direction, hardly noticeable really.
"Hey, Jake"
His gaze did not waver from my own. His jaw set, his lips set in a straight line. It was he who spoke next.
"We need to talk."
I know its short but anyway, please review.
