Prompt: Blankets

When Lindsay had moved in, she'd brought with her a giant, pink, flower-filled blanket that had immediately found a home at the bottom of their bed. She didn't often sleep with it, instead it became a little bit of a Linus situation with her dragging the thing around with her.

The blanket was probably fifteen years old if not more. It had been re-stuffed several times, and had various stains all over it.

Still, Danny didn't really care if it was the oldest, ugliest blanket ever if it made Lindsay happy and comfortable, especially during her first few weeks in his apartment…well now their apartment.

What he did care about was the fact that Lindsay was constantly draping herself in it…instead of draping herself around him.

He tried to get around this in many ways.

He hid the blanket a few times, but his apartment wasn't exactly the Taj Mahal and she found it within ten minutes.

The second time he'd attempted to push it away as they cuddled on the couch, but she just wrapped it more firmly around her and told him to pay attention to the movie.

He tried buying her warmer pajamas, turning the heat way up, but nothing seemed to work and he was a man without a girl to cuddle up to.

The very thought had left him slumped down on the couch and he wasn't too manly to admit he was pouting. The heat was down again, because Lindsay had her blanket on, and he shivered in his shorts and t-shirts.

"Are you cold?" Lindsay asked.

He shrugged, "A little. I could turn up the heat."

Lindsay shook her head and lifted the blanket, "You don't have to do that, just share with me."

Danny slid closer, his body pressing against Lindsay as she covered them both with the blanket.

It really was a lovely blanket.
