i have no idea when i wrote this but it's a thing about the genocide route and the ending and the idfk
just posting this to make space on my hard drive honestly, it's pretty trash.
so uh, idk, read all you want, i don't care.
It worked.
Chara didn't know how - hell, they didn't know why - but they'd managed to finally "convince" this human to do the one thing that they'd never convinced any of the others to do.
Kill everyone.
And boy, was it a wild ride.
Most of the monsters weren't a threat at all, but the ones that were were very threatening. Take Undyne, for instance - she straight up reincarnated to kill them. Of course, that hadn't worked - SAVEs were a lovely thing - and eventually she fell. The only other monster that had been a threat was Sans - or 'Sins', they liked to call him.
That comedian…he was something for sure. It'd taken them at least a couple dozen of resets to finally beat Sans, but oh was it gratifying…even if they weren't entirely sure he was dead. Well, he was now, anyways.
And that brought them to the human.
"Greetings. I'm CHARA."
Throughout their entire rehearsed and carefully calculated speech, the human was…static. Analytical. Nothing like the blubbering mess it had been at the beginning. Oh, the beginning…back then they'd only taken control to spite the human, killing a couple monsters then RESETing and letting them have control for a few moments before ripping it away until, finally, the human gave up and just did whatever Chara told them too.
That was a gratifying moment, made even more satisfying by the fact that the human had a red - Determined - SOUL. Sure, it had taken probably the equivalent of a couple decades to finally break it (entertaining, though, with bonus points for pissing off Sins as well) but it had been worth it for this moment.
"Now, partner…let us ERASE this world and move on to the next."
The human shook its head. Was it trying to call their bluff? Unfortunately, this wasn't one.
And there would be hell to pay for this mistake.
"Hm…interesting…since when did you think YOU WERE THE ONE IN CONTROL?"
They laughed, drawing closer and closer as the human did nothing but watch.
Chara slammed the FIGHT button.
BLOCK
Wait…what?
"But…how…?" They looked up to meet the human's eyes. It was the first time they'd seen its face without the squint - its dark, brownish-red eyes pierced their entire being as a laugh erupted from its throat, and suddenly Chara's "arm" was broken and the knife was in its hands.
"Heheh…" it chuckled. "Funny…I don't think you quite recall our past experiences." It spoke with the same cold, unconcerned tone that Chara did, but somehow managed to add a slight edge to it that completely shook them to their core.
"But…to answer your question…ALWAYS."
The last thing they heard before they ceased to exist was a child's laughter.
ow, the edge
