Zack's office was no ordinary office. He had shelves attached to every empty space, proudly displaying his pencil collection. Some shelves were empty while other had empty spaces on them. These were for new additions.

There was no rhyme or reason to his organization; he simply displayed his pencils wherever he felt they looked the best.

Most were brand new pencils, still in their packaging and quite shiny. Others were used; some very obvious.

The pencils that were used, Zack happily stole from his co-workers. Of course, Zack never saw it as stealing if it was for the good of his collection.

Pencils with pink erasers, green erasers or blue, solid colors, half colors, patterns or shapes; it did not matter for Zack collected them all.

He was most proud of his shiny pencils and the ones that glowed in the dark. He could stare at those pencils for hours; or until they stopped glowing.

Most of the glow in the dark pencils he liberated from Elena. She was slow to catch on that someone was deliberately stealing them.

Zack must have had at least twenty of the glow in the dark pencils; and of every color too. It was fun to let them charge in the sun all day, then turn off the lights and run around with one or two, pretending he was a Jedi Knight.

The sparkly pencils he swiped from Reno and Rude. Zack happened to bump into the two Turks as they were leaving the elevator and Zack noticed the package of shiny pencils. Immediately his obsession kicked in and he hurried to his apartment to formulate a plan to obtain them.

HR/HR

Zack was surprised to discover that Tseng used pencils covered in pretty little stars. Tseng always cast furtive glances around his office and looked his door while drawing the blinds before using them.

Zack just so happened to be in the ventilation shaft for another pencil liberation run, when he decided to peek in on Tseng. This was how he found out about Tseng's ultra-secret pencils.

Obtaining the star covered pencils was easier than he imagined. Zack merely sent out a false memo saying there was fresh coffee and donuts in the Turk lounge and Tseng hurried out of his office; after locking his pencils in his desk drawer of course.

After Tseng had left his office, Zack quickly descended out of the ventilation shaft and proceeded to pick the lock on Tseng's desk.

Happy for the newest addition to his collection, Zack scampered back into the vent and made his way back to his office, where he proudly placed the pencils on display.

Sometimes the original pencil owners had business in Zack's office. Upon discovering the whereabouts of their pencils, they went to retrieve them.

Noticing that he was about to lose a piece of his precious collection, Zack often leapt out of his chair and tackled the thieves to the ground. After a few growls from attempting to regain their lost property, the former pencil owners gave up hope of ever reclaiming them; deciding a pencil was not worth facing a growling, deranged First Class SOLDIER over.
