Holding Tight

I could hear the voices clearly now, I glanced at Crowpaw, who was being cornered by the dreaded Sharp-tooth. He quivered helplessly in desperate fear.

So I did it, I leapt onto the crumbly stalactite and it fell.

It fell downwards, me falling with it. I resisted the urge to close my eyes; I fought against the temptation to leap off. I just fell, holding tight.

Fortunately, I held on tight to the rock and killed the Sharp-tooth, unfortunately I couldn't hold on that tight to my life. I died beside some loved-ones, Crowpaw, Stormfur and I'm sure my mother was watching me from StarClan .I died listening to the waterfall, and I died a warrior's death.

I felt as if I was drifting upwards, as I rose I heard my friends yowl and a beautiful voice say my name, it was my mother, Silverstream's voice. I wondered if I was rising to StarClan, but the sound of the waterfall never left me.

I felt as if it was a moon until I could feel my paws again, but when I opened my blue eyes it felt wrong; I couldn't see a single cat I recognised. I stared around lost for a few moments, and then a cat walked up to me. He was tall and slim, his pelt was a beautiful shade of silver and his eyes were large and sapphire.

"Hello," he greeted, "we have been waiting for you to join us."

"Who are you?"I asked.

The tom bowed his head, "I am River That Crashes on Rocks"

I realised then and there where I was.

"I'm not in StarClan, am I?"I asked River, looking around to see all the dead tribe cats watching me.

"No," River replied, "you are in the Tribe of Endless Hunting; you will always be welcome here, silver cat"

"But how do I get to StarClan?"I asked.

"All these questions," the tribe cat said, "soon"

But I want to see my mother now, I thought, tears stinging at my eyes when I thought about all my dead clan mates that I wanted to see.

"When exactly is soon?"I questioned him.

"Once your friends leave the mountains you will travel with them," River told me, "once you find StarClan, please walk with us as well."

I reached StarClan successfully with all the cats travelling back from the journey.

When I got there my mother greeted me and the same with many other cats RiverClan had lost like the legendary Crookedstar and the brave and strong-willed Stonefur. I watched my father, Graystripe grieve for me as Stormfur passed on the news.

I watched as Crowpaw, Tawnypelt, Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw and Stormfur told their clan leaders about Midnight, and as Crowpaw asked to be named Crowfeather in memory of me. I watched as cats strong and weak, old and young, big and small made their way to the Clans new territory.

Bluestar held a meeting one night; she told all of StarClan that Leafpaw should be given a sign, one that would bring her to the Moonpool. She told Spottedleaf, the wise medicine cat, to give the young apprentice a dream that would lead her to us.

Leafpaw trekked through unknown land, well unknown to her anyway, until she came to the starlight filled pool. I'd seen her and Crowfeather together and I knew what I would say to her.

I came down to her; she identified me out of all of StarClan.

I knew it was no mistake what I said; Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Hollyleaf are great cats. Whatever anyone else says, I will not call them mistakes, I'm not sure I can say the same about Breezepelt; he was born out of loyalty, not love.

Did you like it, Feathertail is my sister's favourite cat and I wanted to do a one-shot story, please leave reviews, if you like it I may do another one.
