Haunted House
"For the tenth time, Sami," Azra groaned, "Stop being so gross!"
Sami's smiled widened, "No really! There were cow intestines all over the floor."
Azra made a disgusted face. She hated being forced to walk home with her brother, mostly since he could never be normal around her.
"And you know what I did? I touched the slimy, goopy thing with this hand," he placed his left hand on her shoulder. Azra backed away a few steps.
"Don't ever touch me again!" she shouted at him, a shout which would have resulted in her brother getting beaten up if people were around. But at this time of the night there wasn't any chance of this happening.
Her brother laughed maniacally as she kept on shooting daggers at him with her eyes. What had she done to get this boy as her brother?
They had almost reached the corner by now, Azra slowed down and her flaring eyes turned cold. She was hesitating at each step now. Sami felt it.
"What happened?" his smile faltered at seeing her expression.
"Nothing," she answered, quietly.
But Sami wasn't giving up.
"Tell me," he said more forcefully this time, blocking her way.
"You remember that woman who we talked to a week ago," she asked. Sami showed no sign of recognition.
"The one with the emerald robe and the weird hat, who was carrying a suspicious looking bag…" she continued, motioning the objects with her hand.
"Oh her…yeah why?" he looked at her puzzled and then caught her gaze towards the house at the corner of the street.
"Wait…You...You didn't actually believe her. Right?" he scoffed. Azra looked away.
"Azra, she was just a weird stranger on the sidewalk. She could just be a psychopath trying to play with your mind."
"Or she can be true," Azra inhaled, "I looked it up Sami. I found old newspaper clippings and…and they held every fact she told us, the same names of the victims who disappeared and you know what. The last sightings of them were near this house."
"Azra, you trying to scare me," he laughed, but with more pauses this time. Azra looked away, they both knew Azra wasn't the kind to joke on matters like these or at least be able to keep the joke this serious for more than a few minutes.
"It can be a…." Sami stopped to think of the word.
"A coincidence. I know but Sami did it have to be a coincident with 50 people?" she looked at him with serious eyes.
"Well….why didn't they investigate here?" Sami wasn't going to believe her.
"They did and…they died," she exhaled. Sami was dumbfounded. The atmosphere grew grim as the clouds parted, showing the full moon.
"Oh no," she gasped.
"What now?" Sami enquired worried.
"They all disappeared on full moons," she took a sharp intake of breath. To put emphasis on her point a howl echoed from the corner house.
"Run," Sami wheezed out. Azra didn't take more than a second to obey him.
"What was the name of the owner, Azra?" Sami panted running.
"Fenrir Greyback!"
A/N: Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed. Fenrir Greyback belongs solely to J.K Rowling. Just the plot, Sami and Azra are mine. I wrote this piece just for fun as I wanted to step out of my usual writing style and write something without any moral.
Don't forget to review.
