Judgment Day, or The Day of the Lord or in Islam Yawm al-Qiyāmahor.
In July 2016, a new diseases spread out killing millions of people.
Tornado and earthquake destroy life and home.
Only few have survived the first wave of destruction.
One of them is Jackson and his best friend Jamie.
They watched their family and friends swallowed by tsunami.
In the middle of what used to be a desert, now a five inch deep river, Jackson walk towards the sunset with backpack of necessities.
Jamie died 2 hours ago, a hungry lion stalked them and Jackson is the only one who managed to get away.
The Earth grumbled but Jackson continued to walk to nowhere.
Jackson have a few theory regarding this end of world.
One of it is people have stop believing in God, so God stop caring about people. Jackson also thinks this end of the world was contributed by the ********* who used nukes to destroy a Middle East country.
But whatever reason is, this world is getting more fucked up. So end of Earth is already been predicted. It's just a matter of when.
When chaos start to erupt after the diseases spread out, Jackson watched a boy rape a girl in the middle of the crowd. He watched an old man stabbed a young girl and take away her moulded bread.
End of the world makes people go crazy. They lost their morality when they realized that there is no hope left. But Jackson thinks morality have been lost long ago.
He stayed in a cave when the lands burn. Silently trying to remember the old lines of a song his mother used to sing.
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
All the mountains should crumble to the sea

Jackson can feel his thoughts getting crazier.
He walks towards the east after he heard a couple of hooligans said there's a civilization surviving over there.
He continues to walk despite his legs protest from the aching muscles.
Under the heat of sun, when his last drop of water dried up from the heat, he collapsed.
He wake up in a tent with a blond hair girl who sits next to his bed.
But suddenly a loud siren was heard and the girl cursed.
Jack could not make sense of what is happening but he knows that it is something bad.
An earthquake? A tornado? A storm? Tsunami? Or everything altogether?
He watched the girl cried and reciting prayers.
A strong gust of wind blew away the tent and Jackson could see the girl was scared.
So he reach up to her hand.
They look at each other.
'Stand by me' he sings.
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see

Just as long as you stand, stand by me
Strong light burns their surrounding and the earth swallowed both of them but in the midst of destruction, both of them have each other, linking their life together by holding hands.
Well thats was sad. Anyway, I was in the mood for writing an apocalypse story but since I am the queen of procrastination, one shot will do.
