The Howling 4: The New Batch

chapter 1
Katie Burns, a Ex-Soldier from the San Fernando valley, decided to Visit the town of Drago, to investigate the disappearance of Marie. she was joined by her husband Richard Snow and 12 year old nephew Alex.
"What's Drago?" aksed Alex , piqued with curiosity.
"An Evil town" said Katie. "A woman named Marie went there and never came out. she was presumed dead until just a week ago, when we got a call about a woman described just like her. there had been a fire and she was found, unharmed, not even a bite mark...yes, i know about the residents. be on your guard" Katie said.
Katie unloaded the family van upon arrival. it was truly a sight to behold. Every gun under the sun was in their van. turns out, her nephew took time out on the shooting range and had a more than decent average.
Her husband had been an Ranger in the army and fought in the Gulf War. he was no stranger to hellish places.
But even they weren't prepared for the hell that was Drago.
The car passed many houses, either boarded up or burnt down. an old church tower lay in ruins, burnt to ashes and the body of a hulking wolf. "the town doctor i presume?" asked Richard as the car pulled up to a motel. Katie didn't respond, she was silent.
After checking into the motel, they found their rooms. the motel was old, to the point that the beams were creaking and the paint was chipped, in desperate need of a new coat.
"Mom, I'm need to pee" said Alex as he tried to open the door. Katie unlocked it and he sped off. the smell of decayed flesh wafted in from the kitchen. things were clearly not right at the motel. Katie rang for service but no one came. she found bodies in the lobby and the heads of the previous owners. A scream was heard from the bathroom. Katie rushed in and found the nearly decapitated head of a wolf, still alive, trying to bite her nephew. she blew it's head off with a shotgun, left the room, and Alex finished up. he came out, both relieved and shaken. "what was that?" asked Alex
"That, Alex, is why we came" said Katie.
Alex and Richard were told the truth.
"Marie is a relative of mine...was a relative of mine and when i heard the news, i decided to find the colony myself and destroy it. but something else is here...someone very dangerous"
Richard and alex immediately armed themselves and Katie checked the rest of the motel, documenting everything.
in the distance, shadowy figures watched them from afar. the creature screamed as it's body split open and shrunk to nothing, revealing it's human host. she smirked and followed Katie, intent on murder.
Katie looked out towards Drago and went out to start the car. Telling richard to wait outside, she checked every door and even under the car. a shadow moved and Katie readied her gun. Red eyes peered out and Katie sent a bullet in between them. The creature dropped dead and Katie double tapped to make sure it was well and truly dead. when it got back up, Katie stabbed it in the brain. It never got back up. The air grew colder as Katie started the car. a woman ran out, covered in blood and scratch marks. "I need help, please, they're right behind me!" she begged. Howls were heard as the woman began convulsing. her flesh ripped open and her tendons, sinew and bone marrow drained out. fur covered her and her eyes exploded into a bloody mess. she turned towards Katie and was instantly filled with 4 magazines worth of bullets. while she was stunned, Katie took a brick, knocked her over and bashed her brains in. The rest of the wolves were dealt with the same way, with the added touch of using a recently bough bazooka to finish them off. a LAW rocket to be precise. Katie wasted no time getting the hell out of dodge with Alex and sending the location to the U.S Military. with Alex safely in the care of his grandparents, Katie and Richard went back to Drago, this time, in a C-130 Hercules, accompanied by a full battalion, with Badger Tanks and APC's as backup. the mission was simple: Raze Drago to the ground. But even the best laid plans go awry. and this little operation was about to get very bloody indeed.
"First time in the Airborne?" asked the CO, a gruff man named Will.
Katie did not answer, she was focused on one thing: revenge for Marie.
"Woman of few words, i like that" said Will. the C-130 approached Drago and the CO stood up
"when the light goes green, Jump! don't think, don't stop! our mission is to burn this hellhole to the ground. Teams A and B, that's us, are to clear out the remains of the old church. Team C, with the APC's are to provide cover and exfil if needed. this shit ends tonight. these creatures are immune to regular bullets but have two weaknesses! Katie?" said Will as Katie stood up.
"Destroy the brain or use silver. You'll notice silver bullets in your guns and either a titanium blade or a silver one, both can kill these things. one more word of advice, you get bit, you get shot, armor's no good against these things. Code name Angels 2 and 3 will bomb the area before insertion. Questions? good!" she said, sitting back down. the Light went green as explosions rocked the plane. "Green light, go go go!"
one by one, the troops exited the plane as the wolves picked each of them out of the sky.
one tore a hole into the plane, sending it into a freefall
"Katie!" said Will. "You've got to jump! my chute's stuck, i won't make it, your in command now!" he said. the plane crashed but Katie made it out before the explosion, albeit severely injured. a piece of Rebar went into her leg. she hobbled to the first piece of cover she could find and loaded her gun. "Here goes" she said as she scanned the horizon.
A hand placed itself on her shoulder, she turned to fire, was hit and blacked out
