Gesture
Chapter One
It started with a simple gesture. One that Katie knew was meaningless, but was something he did not do often. Whenever Travis Stoll played a prank on someone, it was usually followed by mockery, amusement, and the usual annoying reminders that "You fell for it." And now, standing at the base of her door, her plain white shirt, and denim, semi-tattered jeans soaked to the core, did Katie realize how much she despised Travis Stoll. It was there, that she realized exactly how much he never did this simple gesture. Helped. He never helped. Oh, he would apologize alright, begging her to forgive him. She usually always did. Though Katie was known to be good at holding grudges, she was the exact opposite with Travis, she didn't really know why she couldn't hold something against him. Maybe because she thought it was pointless, that she would only be wasting her time hating Travis for a single prank when another was bound to come anyway. She stood there for a few seconds, contemplating exactly why she couldn't hate him, when she was interrupted. "Need a little help Kit Kat?" Katie immediately sighed, groaning right after. That was another thing she didn't like - his annoying nicknames, specially designed just to piss her off.
" I'm quite dandy actually." she replied, her voice erupting with sarcasm.
" That's good, it's nice to know you like getting wet" he retorted, a mischievous smirk on his face.
Katie gave him one of her glares, one that she used when she was particularly creeped out at something.
" You know you're such an ass right?", she asks him, tightly clenching her fists so that she wouldn't strangle him. Such a perv. As usual, Travis has a remark ready, putting on a face of mock sadness and horror, he hastily announces that 'he is not an asshole, just a boy who notices detail ; pointing to her shirt. When she looks down, a look of anguish and realization comes across her face ( Travis on the other hand has a look of pure amusement). Her shirt was soaked, but that really didn't matter. What did matter however, is that her white shirt was soaked, giving Travis a nice show of her Forest Green bra, which by the way wasn't really that hard to not notice in the first place ( C'mon it a white shirt ). With her cheeks slowly evolving to a crimson red, Katie slowly turned on her heel, walking briskly away. Once she was far enough though, she broke out in a mad sprint for the girls restroom, her hands on her chest the whole time.
