Prologue

There was a buzz of noise. I couldn't distinguish its source or if they were , I opened my eyes, unsure of where I was. I looked up, and dark figures, like shadows, were under an ultra-bright light. Some of them had tools in their hands. There was a something like a fog in my head, blocking thinking and movement. The rest of my body could not move at all, but as I looked over, I saw no restraints. Everything below my neck was covered and totally numb. The figures were focused on my hands and forearms.I saw one of them with a small, metallic object, that was lowered down, maybe into my arm. Another walked over to my neck and injected something into it. Soon, just as the head fog was clearing, it shot back into my head.

This time, I woke quicker, though weakly. I tested out my body, and it moved. I looked around, and saw a room with a bed that I was on, and a clock. The clock read: 4:46 PM, March 19th, 2020. There was a glass of water beside me. I reached out for it, and felt something off in my arm. At a closer look, there were stitches along both of my arms. The people must have placed the object in my arm! But what was it? Those jerks! Did they even ask before — I didn't remember anything before the first time I woke up. I had no idea who they were, or where I was! I didn't even know who I was.

At around 5:30, I decided to look around the facility. After some wandering in the halls, I saw a small Canadian flag on a wall. So, I was still in Canada. There were. oddly, no windows or doors out. Even though it would be quite bright outside, all the lights were on. We could be underground. I kept walking around, looking for exits or more clues to where I was. After turning a corner, I began to hear loud voices, coming from my left. I stayed quiet, trying to hear what they were saying. "Our new subject is doing well with the implants, no rejections yet."

"I agree. The magnets have not been turned on, but he is still hooked up to the system."

"We will see if the subject's implant's serve the function."

"This concludes Meeting #184 of Weapon X."
