Immortal Doll
Here's one I prepared earlier. I didn't think it was worth submitting but since I'm my own worst critic I'll let you be the judge. I don't own Persona 3 or any of the characters or scenes borrowed from it.
Something was wrong with Minato. As Aigis watched he was carefully examining the seats on the school roof. He hadn't talked to anyone since that night in january. He wandered around as if lost carefully examining his surroundings yet completely ignoring the people around him. When Aigis dragged him up here she thought he might remember. His eyes lit up for a second but then he started carefully examining the potted plants.
There was a commotion behind her. Aigis turned to see everyone else squeezing through the roof door. They were all smiling
"Aigis!" shouted Yukari smiling.
Aigis smiled back. Finally they remembered her. She looked back at Minato. She turned to Minato and her smile slipped. He had wandered over to the barrier.
"Hey! Watchya doing Miinato?" Jumpei asked. Minato was pacing along the barrier taping each bar as he went and he continued this oblivious to the question.
"Minato?"
"I don't think he remembers us" Aigis said. Trying to keep the tears out of her voice if not her eyes. They all stared at her in horror. Yukari raced past her . She grabbed Minato by the shoulders stopping him in his tracks.
"Minato?"
He didn't respond at all he just stood their staring through the barrier eyes cast down. They all rushed to him then. It took all of them calling him to get a response. He lifted his gaze and stared right through them.
"What are you doing?" Mitsuru asked.
"I'm searching for something" Minato answered in a faint voice.
"What are you searching for?"
He didn't answer. He was staring through the barrier again. They all had to call out to him to get his attention again.
"What are you searching for?" Mitsuru asked again.
"Something very precious to me" he said. His gaze dropped again.
"Minato!" they called his name all as one.
"Were right here Minato" Yukari said tears in her eyes.
"Aren't we the ones your searching for" Fuuka said. His attention was already wavering again but then…
"That's it!" he shouted his eyes suddenly alive. He brushed past Yukari towards Aigis.
"I've finally found it!" he said kneeling down and reaching through the barrier. He was craddeling something metal in his hands.
Mitsuru gasped "An evoker?" she was wrong.
"Persona" Minato shouted pointing it at his head.
Aigis's cry of horror was silenced by the roar of Takaya's revolver. The bullet passed right through Minato's skull and bounced harmlessly off of Aigis's.
That's when Aigis realized what it meant tobe immortal. That the same bullet that killed him, the meaning of her life was harmless to her. That thought would haunt her.
