It hadn't been easy, though he knew from the moment he made his decision that this was something he had to do in order to feel at peace with himself. Something that was necessary so that he knew what he was doing was the right thing. That he was saving a child who's father didn't deserve someone as kind as she. The moment he had decided to take Tsukasa under his care he knew that he was going to face it.

He was going to have to face the monster.

He had read plenty of records of what had happened to Tsukasa and to her family. Her father was a run of the mill salary man, her mother died when Tsukasa was young from unknown causes. Barely a week after they buried Tsukasa's mother is when the reports of mysterious bruises appeared.

He had seen photos of both An and her father, neither of them smiled or laughed in any of the photos just two people caught forever standing next to one another.

Still it hadn't sunk in just what kind of monster he was about to meet until he was going through the security in the jail and seeing the man handcuffed to the table.

Bear looked down at the pathetic man that contributed to half of Tsukasa's genetics. He couldn't bring himself to feel anything other then loathing as he looked at the man.

During his numerous visits to Tsukasa's body, to An's body, he had seen this man's handiwork. Saw the bruises from him screaming at her, the finger shaped bruises around her neck as he tried again to end the life of a very scared little girl.

He sneaked a peek at the medical reports, broken arms, scars, and signs of self-injury.

No, this man deserved much more then just a mortal loathing him.

But he didn't deserve the scared little girl he had leant a hand in creating.

Bear intended to fix that now.

"Hello I'm Ryo Tanazaru. I'm here because I want to take your daughter An away from you." The pathetic lump of flesh went rigid. Slowly he found himself looking into eyes that if not for the cruelty and anger he would have seen many times before.

"You can't have An. She's my daughter and I am her fa-" he was cut off by a glare.

"Father, noun: Someone who contributes half of their genetics to create a child. Then the father will protect and provide for the child. The father will provide their child with love and support. You, are not a father." Ryo glared down at the man. "Besides, I already have all the files filled out, since your last attempt to kill her put you in prison. An is a ward of the state. I am able to adopt he if I so choose." he finished coldly.

"Then why are you here?" he seethed straining against the handcuffs.

"What, thought that you were stronger then this? Oh yes because you were able to beat up your comatose daughter. That's always quite the sign of strength." Ryo stated his voice not betraying the sarcasm in his words, "Or even back when she was conscious beating up your child, your daughter makes you strong. I'm here to tell you what you've missed. An is a kind and sad spirit. Even know, with all her memories focused on the worst of you she won't speak an ill word." Ryo had to restrain himself.

"Why are you here? How do you know An?" the lump screeched enraged.

"Your daughter is a very dear friend of mine in 'The World'. In all truth I just wanted to see the monster with my own eyes." with that Ryo turned and left.

He had papers to turn in.
