She smiled warmly and sat down next to him. "I'm always here now, Daisuke."

Daisuke looked at her, the beautiful angel sitting on the grass next to him. The sunlight made the feathers on her white wings glisten.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
"What?"
The playful smile returned to her face. "The sky. I feel like I could reach up and touch it." She reached her hands toward the sky, feeling the sun on her palms.

A slight breeze drifted across the meadow, scattering flower petals in the air. One of Hikari's white feathers floated above Daisuke, and he caught it in his hand.
"Hikari...Why is this happening? It doesn't make any sense."
She leaned over him and put a finger to his lips. "Don't ask questions. Just...be here."

He took her small hand in his and moved it away. "Is this real?"
"Maybe."

"What...?" Daisuke looked at her, confusion clearly expressed on his face. She smiled at him.
"People are always trying to change, to be someone they're not... Sometimes they don't realize that they're accepted just the way they are."

"Since when are you the expert on all this?"
She shrugged her shoulders, her wings moving with the wind.

She stood suddenly. "You're going to have to leave here soon."
Daisuke stood as well. "Why?"

When he opened his eyes, the green field was gone, the flowers were gone, Hikari was gone...Again...
He was back in his bedroom.
"It was all just a dream..." He felt something soft in the palm of his hand. He uncurled his fingers, and a single, white, perfect feather floated down.
It seemed to say, "I'll be waiting for you, Daisuke..."
