…
When his eyes opened, instead of a happy, colorful, kinda-perfect town, he saw a battlefield painted red.
And instead of cute, happy little critters, he saw menacing enemies.
And instead of feelings of peace and happiness, he felt rage and hatred.
But why did he feel this way?
He had no idea. The earliest thing he could remember was popping out of a corpse, feeling nothing but rage. So much rage. He couldn't hold it back, so he took it out on all his enemies.
Even so, he'd still feel rage. Almost as if was the only emotion he felt. It was turning him insane.
And killing these enemies seemed to be the only thing that calmed him down. Sort of.
And then there's her.
At first, she was just another enemy to slaughter. But somehow she came to life. At first he assumed the second time he saw her she was just a lookalike. But time after time he wondered if she was immortal somehow.
And seeing her introduced him to another emotion: Love.
He loved her. But he couldn't get close to her. She was the enemy, after all.
And that only made him even more enraged. He killed the enemies in more brutal ways. But he didn't kill her.
He couldn't find the willpower to do so. That enraged him even more.
He can't even remember his past prior to popping out of a corpse. He can't remember if he had friends, family, or a home. It was maddening.
And none of his comrades were here. Only enemies. It's like as if they've all given up on winning the war, leaving him to fend for himself.
It was infuriating.
So he was trapped in an eternal war.
And the enemies were trapped into being his eternal outlets.

Another fanfic in you-know-who's POV. Why is he so sentimental? I'll explain some other time. For now, Cartoonlovah101 is out, peace!
