She was so b r o k e n. Her sparkling blue eyes were now dull and cloudy as if someone fogged them up with their warm breath. There was so much p a i n. She tried to power through like she did with every situation. But she tripped and stumbled halfway through, spiraling d o w n. She couldn't get back up. There was no one there to help her back on her feet. To help pick up the pieces and glue them back together. No one. She was a l o n e. So alone. She couldn't feel what she wanted to feel. H a p p i n e s s and l o v e. He was her greatest f a i l u r e. To think if she hadn't revealed his secret to the world, she never would've fallen in love with him. Never would've kissed him. Only to have him C r u s h her. Falling for the p e r f e c t brunette and deserting her. She was so alone. F o r g o t t e n. Dragging her feet and heart every day. Pushing herself beyond the limit. Spilling over and falling again, she kept getting up. But one day, she couldn't push herself anymore .
She plummeted d o w n. S p i r a l i n g. She was beyond broken. She was s h a t t e r e d. Her glass-like being scattered in all directions, jagged and sharp edges slicing her skin. Trying to keep herself together… f a i l i n g. So much more p a i n. She lost her f a i t h. Her eyes so cloudy and gray. A constant storm raging behind the black clouds. She attempted to wind herself up each morning. F a i l i n g. Her heart s p l i t t i n g.
The pills s c a t t e r e d on the counter. Her raw hands brushed against the cool marble. The tall glass of water sitting murderously on the corner, knowing it was about to take a life. Drops of condensation floated down the glass like ice skates across fresh December ice. She grabbed a handful of the pills and moved them around in her trembling hands. She poured them into her mouth and drank from the murderous glass. She took another handful and did the same. She envied the full glass. Full. But she would empty it just like he did to her life. E m p t y. Her heartbeat quickened and slowed in an erratic rhythm. Pound, pound, pump, pump, pump pound, pound. Her hands trembled more and more. Shaking and vibrating. She felt her heart slowing more and more.
