Prologue:
Sam floated slowly to consciousness, feeling much more relaxed than she had in a long time. She sighed contentedly and rolled over, noting only a slight headache. She froze when she came into contact with a warm body that was, definitely, not Pete. Her eyes reflexively shot open and she came face to face with a sleeping male that looked just as content as she had felt moments before. Oh, god, I slept with General O'Neill.
She nearly jumped out of bed when he rolled towards her and wrapped an arm around her waist. "Sir. Sir," she hissed, getting louder when he didn't respond. "Sir!" He tightened his hold, bringing them closer together and she turned red as she realized that they were still very naked.
"Relax, Sam. What's done is done. We'll deal with it later," he murmured, opening his eyes. The emotion in them put her panic on hold…until a flash of light enveloped the room and they landed somewhere a great deal harder than the bed they had been curled up in.
