In Which a Lunch is Stolen
A noisy munching sound disturbed the calm aura of the hillside. Lying in the shade of a tall tree, a spiky-haired boy stared up at the clouds passing overhead. Another boy sat near the base of the tree, on the opposite side, munching on some food.
Hearing the munching sounds, the first boy lazily peered around the side of the tree, curious as to what his friend was eating. He saw an empty bag lying on the ground near his friend's feet. He recognized it instantly. It was the bag he had packed a lunch in. How troublesome, he thought as he stood up and walked around the tree.
The other boy, upon seeing his friend standing in front of him looking very annoyed, grabbed the bag of chips he had taken off of the grass. He stared up at the boy as he reached his hand into the bag, grabbed a chip and ate it.
Sticking his hand out, he gestured for his friend to hand the bag to him. When the other boy just ate another handful of chips, he became exasperated, He owes me the rest of my lunch and I'm hungry now. If he'd just give me the rest of my chips…
He didn't. In fact, he once again stuck his hand into the bag, this time grabbing the last handful, and quickly stuck it into his mouth.
Not thinking much but things along the lines of, That was the rest of my lunch, Chouji!, he jumped onto his friend. Apparently, he had decided that the fastest way to retrieve what was left of his lunch was to grab hold of his friend's head, then stick his tongue into the other boy's mouth.
This very strange action on the part of his friend caused Chouji to stop chewing. He realized that his best friend's unexpected action left him sitting on, and kissing him. He then tried to push the dark-haired boy off of him, but couldn't get the boy to let go of him.
Shikamaru pushed his tongue deeper into Chouji's mouth, searching for more pieces of his lunch. (Yes, he was that hungry) When he had checked Chouji's mouth twice for any remaining food, he finally pulled away. After sitting comfortably in his best friend's arms for a second, he noticed that he was sitting in his friend's lap. When he wants to, Shikamaru can move very quickly. This is what he did after he noticed that fact. Then, of course, he realized that he had just kissed his best friend. He cursed inwardly.
After the shock of Shikamaru no longer sitting on his lap, he turned to the left to look over at his friend. "Thanks for lunch, Shikamaru," he said quietly as he leaned in to kiss his friend softly on the lips.
