"Did you eat any of that ice cream little man?" Harry asked his son Darius as he wiped the eight month olds' mouth with a tissue where Nikki had been giving the young boy small pieces of her own ice cream and in true young child fashion he had got it all over his face.
"Well he enjoyed painting his face with it" Nikki replied as Darius giggled and tried to grab the tissue from his father's hands. Harry however threw the tissue in the bin and picked up Darius as he pressed a kiss onto the young boy's clean cheek. Nikki however started to sort out their one year old twins who were also covered in ice cream. They had all gone on a family outing to the park on Harry's day off and it had been his idea to buy them all an ice cream each causing the children to be covered in a sticky mess, but it made it worthwhile for both Harry and Nikki to see their children so happy. When Nikki had finished cleaning up the twins they continued on their walk, Edward and Graham walking ahead of their parents slightly. Darius however reached out to Nikki and she took him from Harry's arms and rested him on her hip, pressing a kiss onto his cheek as she did so.
"So I'm not good enough am I?" Harry pouted at his son and Nikki rolled her eyes and pecked him on the cheek.
"Daddy up pwease" Graham said as he held his arm up to Harry who bent down to pick his son up.
"Shall we go and feed the ducks?" Harry asked his sons and Edward who was content to walk joined his twin brother in shouting 'Yes' causing both parents to laugh and start to walk towards the lake.
Half an hour later found Nikki sitting on the grass near the lake while Darius sat next to her watching a butterfly fly around him reaching out to try and catch the fast moving insect as he giggled. Nikki watched Harry and their twins as they stood by the edge of the lake throwing bread to the ducks, Harry crouching down to their boys' heights and every so often handing them bread he was tearing up for the ducks. Nikki smiled at the scene and looked down as she felts Darius crawl onto her lap and sit there as he too watched his father and siblings. He looked at Nikki then at Harry and reached out to him even though Harry couldn't see him.
"Harry" Nikki called and Harry turned to see Darius crawl off Nikki's lap and towards him. He picked up his youngest son up and rested him on his lap handing Darius some bread as he did so. Nikki absentmindedly placed her hand on her stomach and smiled, this time next year there would be an extra child with them.
"Mummy" Edward shouted as he and his twin ran over to her followed by Harry and Darius who sat next to Nikki and pressed a kiss onto her lips "We fed ducks"
"Did they like it?" Nikki asked and her oldest sons nodded and yawned "I think it's time to go" Nikki told Harry as she nodded to Darius and Harry looked at him to see he was asleep on his shoulder.
"Come on you two" Nikki told Edward and Graham "Time to go"
"Come back tomorrow?" Graham asked as he slid his hand into Nikki's left and Edward did the same to her right as they walked towards the car park, Harry still holding Darius.
"Maybe next week okay" Nikki suggested and Graham only nodded.
"They went out like lights" Nikki told Harry as she walked into their bedroom "I think they will sleep through"
"Good" Harry grinned as he pulled Nikki onto his lap and kissed her, promising more to come.
