I sat by the campfire listening to the crack of the fire. Mr. D was telling some ghost story that I didn't really care about. I was cold, tired, sick and I just wanted to go to bed. Percy still hadn't come and I was starting to get worried. Chiron must have saw how miserable I was because he excused me from the rest of the campfire. I thanked him and started walking back to my cabin. I tried to warm myself by hugging my body, but that didn't work. Walking back to my cabin, I spotted a figure in the shadows outside Percy's cabin. I squinted trying to see who it was. A flashlight shone right in my eye.

"Hey, Wise Girl," Someone chuckled. As the person came closer I realized who it was. His deep green eyes melted into mine. "Percy," I whispered. More to myself than to him.

"Come on, let's get you inside. You look terrible." He put his hand on my lower back-sending sparks through my body and led me inside his cabin. I'm sure this wasn't allowed, but I didn't care. I was about to collapse right then and there.

"Thanks, every girl likes to hear those words." I smiled, rubbing my nose on my sweater. He chuckled and stopped at his bed.

"Chiron said you can stay here for the night, well," He paused. "At least until you're better. He didn't seem thrilled about it, but," Percy chuckled. "I wanted to make sure you were well taken care of. And who else would take care of you better than me?" He raised his hands and shrugged. He smiled his half smile that made my heart melt.

"Thank you," I whispered, my throat on fire. Percy began looking for something in his dresser. Throwing a few things out in the process. "Here you go," He handed me a pair of sweatpants. "So you can change out of those jeans." I looked down to realize I still had them on, I could have sworn I changed into something more comfortable. I changed while Percy hopped into bed. I didn't mind changing in front of him, but we also weren't in broad daylight-so he couldn't see me all that well. Percy smiled inviting me to lye next to him. I walked to the bed and went under the covers, facing him. I looked into his green eyes and rubbed his cheek. My hands found their way to his hair gently rubbing it. I felt his touch on my back, rubbing slow circles. I laid my head on his chest. I could have stayed there forever. Right there in that moment, everything was perfect. My mind got lost in Percy's scent. He always smelt of the ocean, it was a calming scent to me. Just as I was dozing off Percy spoke, "Annabeth?" He asked.

"Mhm. . ." I mumbled. He leaned his chin on my head. I pulled him closer to me, embracing his presence.

"I've fought Hellhounds, Hydras, Cyclops', Kronos, and about a million other monsters, but they never scared me. But you," He paused sighing. A smile crept on his face. "You scare the Hades outta me, Annabeth. If I ever lost you, I don't know what I'd do. You're everything to me. I love you." Where had all this come from? But I didn't really care. I was glad to know he felt the same way as I do.

"You scare me too." I looked into his eyes. "I could lose you in a matter of minutes and I'd be lost. I wouldn't know what to do with my life or anything. You mean the world to me." I pulled him closer and in return he pulled me closer. I wanted to be like this forever. In Percy's arms, nothing could hurt me. He was mine, all mine. Forever.
