(Author's Note: I've never seen CATS before. I just think I may know enough about it to write a story. Correct me if anything here is impossible. Thanks)

Grizabella strode around, eagerly showing off her amazing coat. Jellicles followed her, chattering about her beauty. Nearly every jellicle wished they were as glamorous as the young and fresh Grizabella. She moved with class and purred softly. The female cats tried to mimic her movements. The males tried to enchant her. The radiant Grizabella just gave a soft meow and continued showing off her style.

An older jellicle caught Grizabella's eye. It was Demetra, a fallen beauty. Demetra's eyes held nothing but misery. Her coat was loose and tattered. Dirt and sand covered her fur and scars covered her face. The miserable cat reached out, hoping she'd find a friend. Demetra hoped someone would take her hand and hold it. A friend would make the misery leave her and a new day could finally start!

Grizabella shook her head and walked away.It surprised her that the old cat hadn't died yet. The other cats followed Grizabella and sneered at Demetra. Everyone ran away from her, everyone except for one cat.

The Rum Tum Tugger was barely a kitten. He rushed over to Demetra and threw his hand into hers. The tortured jellicle's pain vanished from her face. The old lines disappeared from her face and she smiled. Suddenly, she embraced the kitten and held him tightly to her chest.

Grizabella saw this and was horrified. She rushed over and pulled Rum Tum Tugger away.

"Stay away from him you old witch! Don't you ever come back near him! Leave the poor boy alone!" Grizabella cried while knocking the poor cat over.

"Did I do anything bad?" The young Rum Tum Tugger asked.

"Stay away from her Tugger. Cats like her are bad. If anyone like that ever comes near you, turn away. If you need to, run. Just never go near her kind," Grizabella explained. The Rum Tum Tugger nodded his head. He now understood what he had done wrong.

Demetra crept toward him hopefullyand once again held out her hand. Rum Tum Tugger remembered what Grizabella had told him and turned away. After all, cats like her might as well be dead.
