When the Mask Broke

No one knew how much pain he felt. How low he believed he was. How much he just wanted someone there for him to comfort and love him. Now it is too late for anyone to do anything, he is too far gone for any measly words they could offer him. As he backed into the black abyss of his life he wonders where it all wrong. Was it finding Wuya? Meeting the monks? Allying with Chase? Or was it when he was born the hideous creature he was. Yes, that was beginning of his sad story.

Jack Spicer was born an albino, something his parents hated. From the beginning they despised him. They were rarely home and little Jack was left a nanny till he was seven. From then on he was alone, forced to learn how to fend for himself. His only companion was a robot he made. The times his parents were home were the worst times of his young life. He was cruelly beaten by both his parents and his father did many unspeakable things that no kid should know about so young. Jack was always left bleeding after those sessions and in need of a shower to rid him of the dirty feeling that was permanently under his skin.

The next big event was Jack releasing Wuya. From there he joined the dark side hoping to find the part of him that was missing. In order to hid his past, Jack wore a mask of overconfidence. Unfortunately, he was just used again and again. After finally finding an idol he was once again kicked into the dirt. Even on the side of good he couldn't find what his heart was crying for. The longer he lived the more twisted his mind became until it all broke.

It was a normal day in the Chase's palace when it happened. Chase was lounging on his throne when a Jackbot appeared with a package. It was addressed to both Wuya and Chase. Chase called for Wuya who came in a moment later. They opened the package and all it contained was a cassette tape and player. Wuya popped it in and they waited for it to start. It was Jack. He told them of his suicide and asked them to make sure it was buried since his parents couldn't be trusted with the task. Jack detailed his life to them, the beatings, the rape, his thoughts, and why he did what he did. He ended the recording by telling them that he always cared for them. As the tape ended, Chase and Wuya could only sit in shock.

"He didn't really do it, did he?" Wuya shakily asked. Chase didn't reply to her, he immediately took off to Jack's house. When they got there the monks were there.

"Did you guy recieve that message too?" Rai asked as they entered the house. Chase only nodded at the young man. They reached Jack's room and there he was, spread out on the bed with his hands folded on his still torso. Chase walked up to the unmoving boy and checked his pulse, nothing. The dam broke and tears began to stream from his eyes. The others realized the meaning of it and soon everyone was crying in torment. How could they not see this coming? They buried Jack at the temple beneath a sakura tree and his grave was an angel with an upturned face. On the day of his funeral all his allies and enemies could have sworn they saw Jack smiling down at them from the tree.
