A/N: I know it's been a long time since I've posted an one-shot for the RoyEd challenge, so I wrote one and immediately posted it. This one was inspired by a Alfons/Ed picture that was given to me by a friend. This happens to be one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

"So, colonel," Havoc perched himself on the edge of Roy's desk, leisurely stretching for a moment before leaning forward and snatching the paperwork out of his hand.

"Havoc!" was the expected snapped response. "Give those back before Hawkeye kills me!" Roy glared at the smirking lieutenant, who was feigning interest in the words there and miming signing his name at the bottom with a flourish, all the time keeping it out of his reach. "Goddammit, Havoc--"

"Oh, shut up, sir." Expertly Havoc flipped an unlit cigarette between his fingers and shoved it inside Roy's mouth, silencing him. "We heard a rumor that you were dating someone. Who is it?"

Roy spat out the cancer stick and threw it back at Havoc. "What is it to you?" he said rudely, grabbing back the papers and quickly scribbling his signature at the bottom.

Havoc rolled his eyes. His source of information had been correct in that assumption. He could see the fine blush dusting the now flustered colonel's pale cheeks. "Colonel, colonel," he said, shaking his head slightly, "I just want to see who's available."

"No, you just want to gossip like an old woman," Roy growled.

"Just tell us," Havoc gestured to the other members of the office, who had drifted closer during their argument, "and we'll leave you alone."

The colonel sighed heavily, shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine. I'll tell you, but on one condition: I'm not telling you their name. You have to guess who they are."

"Sure," Breda agreed easily.

"Male or female?" asked Havoc, lighting his cigarette and inhaling deeply.

Roy looked at him for a moment before answering. "Male."

"Do we know him?" Fuery said, excitement coloring his voice.

"Yes. You've known him for several years in fact."

"What rank is he?" inquired Falman, hand on his chin.

"That's too easy. You have to guess."

"Tell us about him, then," Havoc demanded.

A wistful smile curved Roy's lips, a faraway look on his face. "There's a lot I can tell you. He's very sweet, always thinking of someone else before him. He loves to help people, and doesn't get a swelled head when they praise him. At least, not all the time. He's a gifted storyteller. Fantasical stories of far-off lands fill his head. His smile can brighten up a room. He always knows what to say to put you in a good mood. But he loves to argue, very much so. He is quite handsome and intelligent...someone you can respect."

"Hm...sounds like the colonel's got a man candy," Havoc joked, sniggering as dark red pooled in Roy's cheeks. He was starting to enjoy harrassing the embarrased man. "Can we have him?"

Before Roy could accept or deny the request, the door opened and a blond head poked in. "Hey!" Ed greeted, nodding to the others as he passed them on his way to the colonel's desk, holding out a brown paper bag. "You forgot your lunch."

Roy smirked suddenly and stood, casually walking towards Ed and leaning towards his face. The blond blushed lightly, clutching the bag to his chest. "Thank you, Ed."

"Uh...you're welcome..."

The colonel chuckled at his nervous answer and took his hand, drawing him closer and kissing him gently on the lips. He pulled back to grin at his shocked subordinates as Ed realized that there was an audience and the blush on his cheeks deepened.

"He's mine."
