Huey's POV
As I was sitting on the coach reading the newspaper Riley suddenly bursts through the door. I raised an eyebrow as he went on about a moving van pulling up right next door. Putting the paper down I went outside to check it out. The moving van was relatively small which meant the new tenants didn't have much. Their car was black with purple trim and a dark pink stripe so probably a primarily female family.
The first one to step out of the car was a thin white woman with blue eyes. She had black hair in a long bob cut parted to the side with her bangs covering her right eye completely. She took a look around, waving when she saw us. She was clearly the friendly type of person, usually those types trust far too easily. Her outfit consisted of a frilly pink tank top and a pair of jean shorts with low heeled boots. Great a girly type; as if we don't have enough of those in our neighborhood.
As the woman started helping the movers another person came out. She was a young white girl of about the same age as me. She had long curly brown hair that cascaded down to her hips. She stretched out first before looking directly at us. She had the same shade of blue eyes as her guardian, however hers held more depth. She stopped and stared at us for a few seconds; seemingly analyzing us.
She was probing our eyes and general appearance in a way that was clearly to judge our trustworthiness. Slowly, she turned her attention away from us as she went inside the house. I took a glance at her attire in an attempt to further evaluate her personality. I could tell she was a cautious and analytical person simply by her movements.
Her clothing was much less girly then her guardian's but still a bit on the girly side. She was wearing a plain pink dress that ended just above her knees and a black mid drift jacket over the dress. She had on a pair of black stockings running from beneath the dress to just below her knees and a pair of pink high tops.
In her hair were two pink heart shaped barrettes holding her bangs back. Her attire really didn't tell me much about her. I turned around and headed back into the house. "Boy where are you going? We should introduce our selves to the new neighbors!" Grandad yelled to me. I just took a glance over my shoulder before yelling a 'later' back to him.
Gwen's POV
It was a long car ride to get to my new neighborhood, Woodcrest I believe it was called. The car ride was a little over 4 hours; I managed to pass the majority of the time by listening to my mp3 player and daydreaming. When I brought myself out of my daze I noticed I was the only one in the car and we were at the house; guess I was in pretty deep. Turning off my mp3 player I got out of the car and stretched.
I sensed someone watching me and looked in their direction. Standing right next door were three Negro guys. One was a young boy about the same age as me, perhaps a couple years younger. He had cornrows and was wearing baggy clothes.
Appearance wise he seems to be a wannabe street tough; I'd best not hang around him too much. Next to him stood another boy, this one closer to my age; he had an afro similar in size to his head. His facial expression was serious and full of hate; his eyes were analytic.
The third was a man in his late 70s or perhaps older; he was clearly their guardian. He was wearing glasses and a green sweater. His expression was definitely the look of a skirt chaser; I'm not sure if I can trust our new neighbors. I turned my head slowly, still watching them and went into my new house. Well we'll see what happens…
