a/n this is a one shot I was forced to make for runforitisjavert. Its a Montponine story for those of you who like them together. Enjoy!
Montparnasse walked into the inn that Thenardier owned and he immediately started walking to his room, he didn't feel like getting into it with someone right then and there. It was already late and he was tired. He was about to start up the stairs when he caught Eponine's gaze, she was scrubbing the floors which didn't surprise him cause her parents where always putting her to work. But still, it was late and he almost started to feel guilty for just walking past her. He broke their gaze and jogged up the stairs and briskly walked to his room door and went to bed as soon as he got into the room.
The next day Eponine was woken up by her Father screaming at someone, she looked at her clock on the wall and it said six twenty four. She rolled her eyes an decided that should should go ahead and get up, since she wouldn't be able to go to sleep again cause she would be to scared her Dad would storm in at some point and get angry cause she wasn't up yet. She jumped out of her bed and threw her well worn shoes and threw on her only other pair of clothes, as soon as she managed to get out most of the knots out of her hair with her fingers she went over to her bedroom window and cracked it open to see if anyone was in the alley that it opened to. She was saw it was clear and she jumped out and through her window, she jogged threw it not willing to risk the chance of being caught threw someone else's window. She peaked around the corner and the streets were already very busy, people must be headed to work she thought to herself. She finally walked around the corner and headed to the cafe, she knew she would be the only one there that early since the guys didn't have to get up till seven thirty. As she walked along the sidewalk she saw someone she had had mixed feelings for for a while, she decided to go talk to him cause she didn't really have a reason not to.
She walked up to Montparnasse and looked him up and down, he looked a bit startled cause she had come out of an alley. Nevertheless he thought her eyes were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, he hadn't ever really had a girlfriend before. They all thought he was always in the dark and to be Honest, the were rather scared of him. He didn't say anything till Eponine did, " hi.. Um. Is my Dad in a really bad mood today?" Parnasse starred at her for a second then replied, " uh. Well. Yeah.. But when isn't he?" "Never I guess.."
He wasn't really sure where they were in this relationship and he wanted to figure it out, "So do you maybe want to grab some dinner tonight?" Eponine blushed but wasn't sure why. "Uh yeah sound good.. Where should we meet? And when?" Parnasse replied, "meet me at the cafe at eight." "Sounds good." Eponine smiled then walked off, she felt confused but she knew one thing, she had a date tonight.. She smiled and kept on her way to the cafe.
