Author's Notes: The small dialogue points in this are completely and utterly out of character. I didn't even attempt to make them that way and instead just try to convey some of the emotions the poem was attempting to express through those few words. This whole thing really came out of no where, I have no clue what inspired me to write it but it's here nonetheless.

Disclaimer: No one is making any money off this, its here just for entertainment and fun. DBZ totally belongs to Akira Toriyama and anyone else involved in it's making as a manga and anime.

Be As It May…

Rippling waves of the past flooded

Over the vast terrain

Spreading,

Far over the layway

Of the unending night

Alone

Standing in paced existence

Where no other dares

To venture

In the late hours of the eve

The spiraling waves

Of a bloodied past

The tangling pride

And a loving face

Forever holding place

Within the recessives of all life

Caring without passion

And living without unjust

To jest the light of the flower

Brings upon the waking of a new day

"Be as it may," the tangible wind mustered

Parted lips spread

As the words of a broken heart murmured unshed tears

"Live as may be,"

Broken as life

For nothing ever succeeds

In the waning of a lost soul

Grounds shook with an endearing force

A placid figure laying helplessly atop its cold front

"Stay, leave to me these bitter dealings."

Words of a broken heart

The lone warrior

Forever lost in a haze that had once been,

Lost,

Within the memories

Of an unforgettable past

Of deaths and cherished memories

The final atonement has been reached

And moved aside with a dismissive wave

Carrying upon itself

The weight of a thousand lies

A thousand words unshed

Of a facade endearing of normal fate

"Is time unending?

Will these awful lies

be stripped from me?" questioned the solemn whisper

Light unknown and only darkness encompassing

Such is the fate of those who know not of the light

Or so the aged warrior knew

And sought

For the light was forever gone,

Diminished,

Taken away with the fitful years of youth

"Sins no more,

let me bring an end to the pain"

Somber promises, an unfaithful end

For as warriors clash

So do their fates,

Their times entwining and forever wrapping

Casting an obsidian gaze to the distance

The winds parting

Bringing a peace to the mind's eye

The lone warrior choose his fate

Stilled and suited,

He knew nothing better

Not a better fate,

Not a better death

For which he was prepared

And now in the waking of this light

A classic and proud smirk graced chastised lips

Gloved fingers enclosing

And a fitful restlessness settling within a darkened soul

"Be as it may, stay fair, stay."

Caressing the sleeping figure,

An amused atmosphere cascading

Before the lone warrior stood,

Unnerved but willing

To look the darkness of his soul

On right,

To the days now cloaked in uncertainty

For even if he were never to walk,

Never to speak,

Never to fight

Again,

He knew he had done his best

For the world knew nothing of his tormenting soul

With which the devil himself had created

And with wistful thoughts of an upcoming lust,

Of a battle cry sure to break apart the heavens,

Vegita, the Saiyan Prince of a two person race,

Was stilled and ready,

Ready for the death

That was pronounced as his own

No longer unnerved

Perhaps worried, yes,

But ready

"Be as it may,

but never bitter.

Hold fast and I shall protect,

For the endearing love I share

Shall not weaver.

And even as my last breathe leaves

My cursed soul,

My thoughts shall be of you,

My dear family

And you,

My dear rival…"

And with a mask of pride,

And an all-knowing smirk,

Vegita left to face fate as it saw fit.
