Shadow on the Wall

Disclaimer: No, I do not own Mario. I believe that's why is called 'fan' fiction.

This is actually my first story. Please don't be harsh. Yes I know it sucks. Ok...What? You haven't read it yet? Well then go ahead. Gah, tell me what you think in your review.

"Mario! Its you!" shouted one of the TV Reporters. "How does it feel to have destroyed Bowser forever?" they continued.

"Well-a its-a great honor!" said Mario, proudly. "Now-a everything is-a peaceful!"

Mario and Luigi, well mostly Mario, were being interviewed for the front paper. Apparently the plumbers had defeated Bowser, for one last time.

The reporters stood there asking Mario questions. The sky had darkened and rain was pouring down. Lucky they where in a cafe, called Larousse Cafe.

Mario had answered yet another question. Luigi stood there silent. Having nothing to say, he sighed. He backed up from Mario. Reporters and Cameramen quickly filled his spot. Luigi turned to the window and sighed again. The rain had gotten worse. From the back of him though, he could hear questions and answers, all answered by Mario. He looked over his shoulder, all he could see where people. Mario was probably in the center of the group.

Luigi then turned to the window again. Mario was always the center of attention, always. In the last battle with Bowser, it was him who pushed Bowser into the lava. But he didn't get any credit for it.

"Its not fair..." he whispered to himself.

I never ask. I never take. I always give. I don't get any attention. I'm not useless, I'm not weak, I'm just alone... thought Luigi. He could feel his eyes getting watery. But he held it back.

Tired from waiting for Mario to finish, he left the cafe.

The sky had turned pitch black. The rain was unpleasant, but it was better then listening to Mario talk lies.

"T-Taxi!" he shouted. A cab had rounded up the corner. Luigi waved his hands.

The cab stopped in front of Luigi, but then kept going.

Luigi stared at the taxi, driving away.

Shadow on the Wall...

Luigi put his hands in his pockets, and started to walk home. A few kids with umbrellas and yellow raincoats passed Luigi. The kids stared at Luigi for a moment, and threw some rocks at him.

Shadow on the Wall...

Luigi picked up his speed, wanting to go home even more. He looked down at his brown shoes, shivered, and kept on walking.

At last Luigi got home. He just wanted to get away, from everything. Mario was still probably being interviewed.

Luigi got himself dry and looked up at the living room wall. It had a bunch of pictures. He looked around at them and he couldn't find any pictures of him. They were all Mario pictures.

Shadow on the Wall...

He went to his room. Everything in his room, it was all Mario's used stuff that he didn't need anymore. Luigi had never slept in a brand new bed.

Shadow on the Wall...

He took his hat and put it on top of his bed. He laid down beside it.

Why am I ignored? Why am I mistreated? Aren't I human, like Mario? Aren't I a person, like Mario? No. A person has feelings. I guess no one respects mine. Not even my brother. Im so alone, so confused, so hurt. Just like...A Shadow on the Wall... thought Luigi as he fell into unpleasant slumber.
