A/N this story is going to be set mainly in james pov but if people want lily's perspective then i could give it but at the moment i feel this is a story about james.

it's set in their last year at Hogwarts and is about how james got together with Lily.

Lily was his angel. She was perfect. Unfortunately she hated him.

He honestly had no idea why. Since that first day of first year when he'd told her she had beautiful eyes, she had hated him. It was unjust really, he'd been giving her a compliment and she'd told him to leave her alone.

It must have been something to do with Snape. How she had ended up friends with that greasy idiot was beyond him. But yet they knew each other and seemed close. He could remember his joy when lily had been placed in Gryffindor like him while Snape had gone to Slytherin where he belonged.

They had soon lost each other as friends and no longer spoke. This had been a happy observation for him but he had then wanted to kill Snape a million times over for calling his precious lily that word.

He had ended up saving the idiot though, when in an attempt to find out what they all got up to at night had nearly gotten himself bitten by a werewolf in all honesty he sometimes wished Mooney had got him.

But he wasn't that evil and was glad he had saved him. It meant that he was the better of the two because he knew that had the situation been reverse Snape would have let him be attacked in an instant.

He had hoped that Lily would see him eventually in the manner he wanted her to see him. Sure he was a bit of a show off. The attention was nice but he would never show off again if it meant he could be with lily. She was everything he ever wanted in life.

Then she had gone out with the idiot that was Brendan Apple. He was a stupid ugly Ravenclaw, though being in Ravenclaw did mean that he was intelligent. He was not even popular actually he might have even been less liked than Snape. At least he had friends in his own house. Unlike Apple who was completely alone, till that is Lily took an interest.

Not that he had been the only one shocked at the match, while people knew lily wouldn't go for a guy like him, no one could understand why she went for a guy like Apple.

Luckily for him, he was very well liked in the school and despite appearances Brendan Apple wanted to be liked and all it took was a few words with the rest of Apple's house and he was been taken in with a group and broke up with lily.

His plan worked a charm but it broke his angel's heart and that in turn broke his and he felt like a jerk. But he knew Lily belonged with him not some little idiot.

So now it's the final year at Hogwarts and he threw some miracle has been made head boy. So now he can put his plan into action and prove to Lily that he has matured and get her to love him back.

Really how hard could it be?
