Bet you guys and gals didn't know I was a Tammy Pierce fan too.

I did a book report on Lady Knight (it was my third time reading the novel) last year for one of my English classes, and part of it gave me the option of a couple of things to prove to the teacher that I'd actually read the book. One of the things was writing in role, which is this part of the assignment.

I don't own the Protector of the Small quartet.

Writing in Role – Diary Entry from Kel

I got my assignment for the war today. I will be riding north to near the Scanran border. Then I will meet with My Lord Wyldon, and he will be telling me exactly what I am to do.

I should have left while I had the chance to, if only the northern passageway wasn't blocked by snow. Then I could have gone north to complete the task which the Chamber of Ordeal has assigned me; to kill Blayce the Gallan, the Nothing Man. Gods above, if only it was that simple.

But I can't do that now. I can't desert my post, I can't just leave my assignment, whatever it may be. Abandonment is what they would call it, and when I came back, IF I came back, I would be sent to Traitor's Hill. Why must life give me such difficult decisions?

Short, cute, what do you think?
