AN: I have an addiction to filling prompts that have to do with Artie and Kurt. Anyways, based on this prompt from glee_fluff: "When all the guys agreed to stand up for Kurt, nobody expected Artie to actually FIGHT. Maybe like, wheeling over Karofsky's feet, doing crazy chair stunts or propelling himself out of his chair to tackle him, I don't know. Just some badass!Artie making use of his freakish upper body strength and the fact that Karofsky won't fight him back. Bonus points for Karofsky trying to report Artie and people either laughing or not believing him." AU to what happened in the episode obviously.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything.
"Stop picking on Kurt."
Artie and Mike hadn't rehearsed what they were going to say, but they had agreed that they needed to be firm and serious and get the point into Karofsky's thick skull. They weren't even sure if they had the others to back them up, but they went ahead with it anyways. It became abundantly clear that Karofsky wasn't going to listen to them when he shoved Mike across the locker room. Sam quickly jumped on the larger boy, hitting him wherever he could reach. However, Karofsky soon gained the upper hand and shoved the blond boy into the lockers. He managed to hit him in the face before backing up slightly, obviously preparing to slam into him again when Artie maneuvered himself in between the boys and with practiced precision, ran one of his wheels right over Karofsky's foot.
"AAHH!" the boy yelled, stumbling backwards, hopping up and down on one foot, holding his injured foot in his hands. He let out a few choice curses before stumbling back towards Artie. Mike and Sam had both recovered at this point and came up on either side of the boy in the wheelchair. Karofsky swung at Sam who managed to duck out of the way, while Artie delivered a swift punch to Karofsky's gut. The jock doubled over, clutching his stomach in pain.
At this point, the rest of the guys in the locker room were standing in a circle around the fight, cheering and egging them on. Puck was standing close by, clearly wanting to get involved in some way but not wanting to risk expulsion. Karofsky had straightened up and was glaring at the three boys who were staring him down.
He came at them in a run, aiming for Mike this time. As he blew past, Artie managed to grab his arm and with a bit of struggling, threw him back onto the floor. The other football players were starting to cheer for Artie now. Karofsky glared up at Artie from on the floor with an intense hatred, and Artie prayed that his "moral code" wouldn't be broken anytime soon. The chants of "Fight! Fight! Fight!" were getting louder now as Karofsky got to his feet, never breaking gaze with Artie. Before he could do anything though, Coach Beiste came and yelled at all of them, effectively breaking up the fight.
"They started it!" Karofsky shouted, gesturing at Sam, Mike, and Artie.
"We didn't touch you!" Sam yelled back. "You pushed Mike first."
"Yeah, well Abrams hit me the most," Karofsky spit out, glaring at Artie. Coach Beiste scoffed at his claim, and pushed him towards the door, telling him to head down to the principal's office. They later found out that he had told Sue that Artie had punched him around and she gave him a detention for lying.
When the guys ended up in the choir room, regaling their tale to the girls, Finn, and Kurt, everyone expressed their surprise at how much of the fighting had been done by Artie.
"I have super-human upper body strength," was his only response. "Carrying your body around for years does that to a person." Kurt smiled gratefully over at him as Mr. Schuester came into the room and they began to tell him what had happened.
Feedback is appreciated as always.
