-1Late Haven

It was home. It had been his home since he was eleven years old. His favourite place in the world. Always appearing to him like a huge shining beacon of hope and light. Hogwarts was his sanctuary; a place bursting, full to the brim, with magic. Where anything seemed possible. Where, under the watchful eyes of the castle and the Headmaster, he was safe and protected. At least it used to be…

Those feelings that he had harboured for the castle seem like a wonderful dream and now it seems he has woken up to a painful, harsh reality. His protective walls have turned against him and he has been left alone and vulnerable, with all delusions of a safe haven torn away. It is a cruel irony that his castle of light has become, to him, a place of darkness. He looks at it now and finds it painful. He cannot escape the vision of death; of one so wise, so powerful, so loved. He couldn't save his last great protector and so, in turn, Hogwarts cannot be saved for him. The heart and spirit is gone.

So he weeps not only for the loss of Dumbledore, but for Hogwarts, because, for him, it too as died.
