The Girl and her Cat
The Dark Night
Disclaimer: I own the baby girl, I don't own the shadow, and I own the cat. That's all.
It was a rainy and windy night as a dark figure crept through the shadows. The figure kept looking behind as if making sure no on followed. But someone was, or rather, a something. A black cat was in pursuit of this figure. The figure was a women holding a large bundle tightly in her arms. As she rounded the corner she stopped in front of a building. She checked a piece paper she was holding in her shaking hand and nodded. She then stepped up to the door steep and put the bundle down. As she pushed aside some of the wrappings, a small sleeping face was visible. She then bent down and whispered, "Good-bye my sweet." Giving the sleeping beauty a kiss good-bye, she tucked a thick envelope in with the baby's blankets. With tears in her eyes She turned on her heel and vanished as soon as she was gone, the black cat came and curled up to the baby girl purring.
