A figure sat in an arm chair by the window reading a book. The sound of children laughing outside caught the attention of the young woman.
Alice watched as her love , the Hatter, picked their son, Kaileb, up and swung him over his shoulder. She smiled and turned back to her book.
"Mummy?" she heard her daughter squeak. She turned to see the little girl stood in the door way. Her orange hair shone blonde in the light and her dress sparkled pink.
"Yes honey?"
Alicia stepped forward nervously. "Were you really going to leave Daddy when you defeated the Red Queen?"
Alice chuckled, slightly shocked that her 7 year old daughter knew about that.
"Where did you hear that?"
"Uncle Hare told me."
That Hare needs a good telling off. "The thought only barely crossed my mind. But I love your father too much! Don't worry, I'd never leave you."
The girl seemed satisfied with this answer. "Okay!" she ran to her mother and jumped on her lap.
"I love you Mummy!"
Alice kissed her daughters cheek "I love you too Alicia!" she cooed.
Alicia climbed down from her mothers lap and ran downstairs to join her brother and father.
Alice smiled and turned back to the window to see the Hatter waving up at her.
She smiled and blew a kiss, causing the Hatter to giggle like a teenager. But he was tackled down by Kaileb and Alicia.
Alice got up and walked to a cabinet. Opening the doors she picked out an envelope. Alice slowly opened the envelope and tipped a small vale into her hand. The blue liquid stained the glass.
I could... she thought. A smile crept onto her face and she dropped the vale to the floor, letting it shatter. But I won't!
