She doesn't even know why it is she feels guilty towards the girl. What she did was bad, she knows this. It was really, really bad. But what did Rachel have to do with it? They're weren't together. Everyone knows they broke up. And she and Rachel certainly weren't friends. In fact, at the beginning of the year all she had wanted to do was make the girl miserable. But that seemed like a giant waste of energy now. Hurting Rachel at this point would be like kicking a dying horse, just plain cruel. She had accumulated plenty of pain on her own and definately need Quinn adding to it.

But hadn't Quinn been the wronged one? Rachel had stolen Finn from her in the first place. But she knew she had no right to think that. What she had done to Finn was a thousand times worse than Rachel had ever done to anyone. She liked to think life wouldn't keep punishing her for it forever, but let's face it. She wasn't exactly doing a stellar job of showing life that she'd learned from her mistakes. She still hated herself for what she did. For what she would have done. In all honesty, Quinn didn't really even believe Rachel deserved the way Finn was treating her. He was being a hypocrite and she knew it. He had cheated on her with Rachel. She never called him on it of course, because at the time what she was doing was so much worse and her point in it was to keep him, not leave him. And if he could forgive her for everything, why was he still holding this grudge against Rachel?

"It's because he loves you, you know." Quinn said as she approached the brunette was cleaning the books out of her locker.

'Huh?"

"Finn. He's mad because he loves you. And it really hurt, what you did, because he's afraid it means you don't love him."

"Look, no offense Quinn, but you really have no room to defend him-"

"Just let me finish okay. He still loves you. But he thinks that you don't love him. That he's not enough for you. I assume that's how you felt when you found out about him and Santana. What you did with Puck hurt him just as much as what he did to you. The difference, in my opinion, is that you were honest with him. Finn's never been the brightest guy. And he's actually a lot more insecure than anyone thinks. And he's whiny and moody a lot. Basically he's a teenage girl." That couse Rachel to crack a smile. "But he loves you and you love him too. And you actually make each other really happy when you're together. You guys are actually so happy its kinda disguisting. So don't worry. Eventually he'll realize how incredibly stupid he's being, probably as soon some new guy starts flirting with you, and then he'll kick himself in the ass. And then he'll come knocking on your door. But make him beg. He deserves it." Both girls shared a laugh at that.

"I promise." Rachel said with a smile on her face. "But why are you being nice to me? I mean, you don't even seem to like me most of the time."

"I know. I just- you were really nice to me last year when I was going through a lot of crap. So I just figured I'd return the favor. But now we're even. And this doesn't mean we're friends or anything."

"Uh huh."

Uh huh what? Go away. You annoy me. Shoo."

"Goodbye Quinn." Rachel said in a sing-song voice.

'Dear Lord' Quinn thought. 'She might actually be growing on me.'
