Hold a Lover Close?
"Come on, Bella," Edward purred in my ear. "Please dance?"
"Edward..." I pleaded. "You know I don't like dancing."
His eyes were hurt, and even though I knew he was faking, my heart almost broke to see him like that.
"Bella..." he said, pulling me close and burying his face in my hair. "I know you don't like dancing. But please, just this once."
I listened to the Panic! at the Disco song that was playing. I hated school dances, and I knew that under normal circumstances, so did Edward. But he loved going with me.
"What's there to dance to?" I asked, almost triumphant. "All you have to do is bounce around on your toes and--"
The song was over, and something much more dance-worthy was playing. I looked over to the dj with betrayed disbelief. To my horror, Alice was leaning over his shoulder and grinning at me. Traitor.
"Please?" Edward asked again, nuzzling my throat. I shivered, and he knew he had won.
"Come on, Bella. Hold a lover close?" he said, smirking. I sighed and stood up.
"Alice will pay." I told him.
He just laughed and twirled with me onto the dance-floor.
The End! I hope you liked it, just a little romantic humor stuff that was floating in my head. Review. Don't hurt me. First fic.
