Straightening it out she read it a loud. "MEET ME BY THE LAKE AT 7:05"

It was 7:11 she was by the lake but where was shane

"Why is he late? Our 5 year anniversary and he can't even turn up on time this once"

Sellotaped to the canoe was a small piece of paper it read

"Sorry I can't make it"

Mitchie could feel the anger burning up inside her looking at her page she could tell it had been ripped from the one on the boat.

"Why had he saved half had he planned all along to stand me up is this just another one of his Games"

She sat down on the side of the canoe all the events of that day running through her mind.

Looking at herself in the reflection of the water "How did it get to this, I had a chance and I gave it all up to be Shane gray's paranoid girlfriend."

The camp was deserted Mitchies summer had been camp rocks 2nd last. financial troubles had struck when a rival camp opened its door and the owners went bankrupt after the next summer. The camp wasn't exactly an ideal location and the only interest in buying the land was from the neighbouring camp but the owner lazlo fazzle would never let the land go to the people who had bankrupted him in the first place. So for now the camp lay deserted.

Mitchie hated the thought that the camp was no more. It meant so much to her. It was the greatest summer of her life since then everything had gone down hill.
