All the sounds vanished, the scenery blurred, there was nothing but the two of them in his sight. But there was something else, crawling up his mind like a parasite, slowly. A thought he tried to lock away long time ago. A thought he didn't want to get true and yet, it already was. It was all the time.

Ever since he could remember they were together. Together at college, together at work, together at spare time, at weekends. And so they ended up living together. In their own apartment with nothing but them and a lot of unsaid things.

In his memory they spent an afternoon in front of the TV from time to time, sharing food and having fun. Sometimes they shared a bed for a night or two.
For him it was a relationship or something more. If there probably could be more than that.

But then the other mind raised its voice.
The part of him that wanted more. More than just hanging out. It made him realize that this was just a one-side-relationship. It reached its highest when he saw them together: Jeremy and Rigby.

This let the already cracked mirror inside him burst into a million pieces.

Maybe it was his fault, Chad thought, maybe all the feelings he tried to show were misunderstood. Jeremy didn't show any attraction towards him at all. He just kept silent most of the times, making a comment or two if it came to a topic he was interested in. Nothing else. Even if he tried to get him into physical things, he wasn't sure if he actually liked it.

Chad tried to hide it, tried to act natural, tried to avoid the mirrors which showed him the other self. The one who didn't care about feelings nor about Jeremy.
The other side of him that only acted the way to get what he wants, no matter how much it did cost.

"What if he likes him the way you wanted him to like you?"

He tried to hide away in his bed, where he felt safe, tried to cover his ears.

"You can't hide. I'm inside of you. I AM you."

"You're not. I'm not like you!", he yelled, jumping off the bed slamming fists against the mirror.

"What are you doing?"

There he was, leaning in the door like this was his place. Staring at you in disbelieve with the right eyebrow lifted.

Before Chad could ask him what he is doing in here, a taller figure walked up towards them.

"He'll stay for the night.", Jeremy said, with his casual facial expression.

He turned around adding "Dinner is ready".

"I don't need any.", Chad answered and slammed the door behind them.

He crawled back onto his bed and hid underneath the sheets. It was warm in there, a little like being hugged. Like being hugged by Jeremy. There they were, heavy tears dripping down his face and that painful feeling inside his chest that told him his other side was wrong: He wasn't a slut. He had feelings for at least one person.
