Farewell my friend, I say goodbye,
But please, don't waste away your tears,
For stars will twinkle high in sky,
And thus will shine for many years.

And when my time will come, and yours,
We wont be idle with despair,
For we have walked on many shores,
Our eyes beheld a day so fair.

But halt! My friend still there is time,
I do not wish to fare you well,
This breathe of life, this soul of mine,
Still linger in my dieing cells.

And read a prayer for my rest.
And there, where all things end and start,
