I Love You, Katherine Poppy - The fourth in the Katherine Poppy Oneshot Series
"I love you, Katherine Poppy"
Kathlynian remembers the first time he ever said those words.
She was helping the Doctor fix a quick engine problem one were working side by side silently when he just blurted out. "I love you, Katherine Poppy."
He only called her Katherine Poppy in teasing, or if something was incredibly serious. Like, crap, we're surrounded by daleks and you just pissed them off, guess we're going to die, incredibly serious.
She looked up slowly, and glanced over to him. "What.." She uttered.
"I, I love you." He laughed from across the room.
A huge smile spread across her face. "I, I love you too." She stammered.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yeah," she murmured. "For a long time."
He chuckled and went back to work. "Well that's a relief." He sighed.
Kathlynian went back to work as well. "Same.." She agreed with a big grin.
"Oh, who are we trying to kid?" He said putting down his work.
"Who are we trying to kid, what?" She asked, worried that this entire thing was a joke.
He walked over to where she sat, and sat down across from her. "Kiss me, Katherine Poppy." He said.
"No, gross." She teased.
"Come on," he said leaning in to her.
"No, go away." She laughed.
"Kiss me Katherine Poppy, and then I'll go away." He insisted.
"Oh, for the love of God!" Kathlynian exclaimed playfully, planting a quick soft kiss on his lips. "Are you happy?"
"More than you could even imagine." He smiled. "I love you, Katherine Poppy."
"And I love you, Doctor." She said gently. "I really, really do."
I Love You, Katherine Poppy is a companion piece to my story "Until Death Can't Touch" Set after the previous oneshot "Forever Katherine Poppy", and before the sequel.
