Opy is a rather strange creature, a Halfling rogue about 3' and a good one at that. She has short brown hair that looks rather a mess and light brown eyes with the look of innocence. She has the appearance of a noble and her young beauty is praised by all. Small in nature she is quite agile. Her small size making it easier for her to hide though she would rather not. Her many battles have left her scarred; one particular upon her cheek, though it does not besmirch her beauty. No one knows where she's from. In fact, no one knows much about her at all. This is because she never speaks and no one knows why. Some just assume she's mute or ignorant, but that's far from the truth.
Opy had a twin sister Po. They were a special pair and they never left each other's side. They were a fighting team and Po was all Opy had left. Their parents were murdered in an Iuzian raid in their childhood, barely escaping the devastation they were rescued by a homely tribe of nomads. Raised on the skills to hunt Opy and Po learned the way of the blade. Escalated by thoughts of vengeance, their skills grew over the years and they were adopted as mercenaries seeking employment from those who fought again the forces that ravaged their home.
Opy and Po developed a language between themselves, consisting of sounds and signals. This made it easy for them to coordinate attacks without the enemy's knowledge. Their skills as hunters also helped develop a keen sense for vitals, making their attacks all the more devastating. The team could fell the strongest Iuzian warriors in a matter of seconds. They were a respected duo among the finest.
One night while surveying Iuzian territory their scouting party was ambushed and Opy and Po were taken prisoner and forced into a containment camp. Opy and Po were put in separate cells and stripped of their gear. Each day in the containment camp left Opy starved and brittle, as was Po. Worked and beaten, they were helpless to escape. That didn't stop Po. In a last ditch effort her sister slipped her shackles and ran. Opy could only watch as her sister's attempt failed and she was quickly struck down. Opy stood speechless unable to cry out for her lost sister. The look of horror soon whipped away as she was forced back to work.
A few days passed when Opy awoke to the sounds of battle. The door to the cell was opened and Opy was free. Opy quickly started running. She found herself in the midst of siege. Shield Land's armies were pushing forth to recover lost territory. A group of soldiers were losing battle nearby. Opy salvaged arms and quickly stepped in to help. Brittle and weak she was still a feat to be reckoned with. Her aid helped the soldiers recover and their unit was still alive. She was recognized for her selfless act and was ask to join their ranks as a Pathfinder to assist the Shield Lands in their battle against the Empire of Iuz. She simply nodded without a word. For fear of being called something obscene, when asked her name she only spoke to say, "Opy."
Opy has been silent ever since the death of her sister and the only remnant she has is a twin locket with a picture of Po at its center. She never speaks to anyone and often shy's away from social situations. She only communicates to ones she trusts through hand gestures and body language. For this, Opy is often referred to as "The Silent Sister" though her skill in battle speaks for itself.
