AN: First attempt at Blood+ fanfiction… it's such a beautiful series and I'm scared to destroy that beauty.

Bonds

He doesn't speak much around her. After decades and decades, there isn't too much to say. Talking came first, when they met (or rather, some time after their meeting). They talked at the 'zoo'. The zoo was gone. Over the decades, conversation had gone as well. There wasn't really much left to say, and what could be said was simply done. Actions spoke louder than words, after all.
He doesn't speak much around her. The two are closer than friends, or family, and as passionate as enemies. Their bond couldn't possibly be broken. No amount of scheming, lies or trickery could tear the two apart, simply because their relationship ran so deep. It was impossible. Their enemies had tried. They had failed. Death usually followed. The two shared too many connections—bonds of blood, bonds of trust, bonds of friendship, and bonds that are never spoken of.
He doesn't speak much around her, because he is scared. Neither has spoken of their bonds of love, so he believes it should stay like that. She is still with him, despite his silence. He is scared that if he tells her, he will jinx it and she will be torn away from him, despite all of the bonds they have built.
