It hurt worse than you thought. Not just physically--there was that too--but it hurt worse than any pain you could have ever conjured up.
It hit you hard and blew you apart. Right in the centre of your heart where you couldn't see it bleed but felt the hard rush wash through your system and break you.
You knew. You knew and did it anyway. Because he's so fucking different from anyone you've ever known. Because he pissed you off. Because he got right down to the very pit of your soul where no one had ever touched you before and made you feel and you wanted to hurt him.
You wanted to make him feel what you felt...and now he does. And you can't take it back.
It's over.
It's gone.
That innocence you held so close to your skin has been stripped away and wasted.
You used Luke and you don't even care.
Your Pollyanna smile is gone now, you knew it would be. You can't see the world through your rose-coloured glasses anymore because everything has been revealed to you. There is no mystery in the forbidden, the never talked about, oh so scary S word.
Sex.
That's all it was.
It was quick and clumsy and now you know.
Your eyes are dirty now, stained. You've seen it all. You latched on to a magical oracle that turned out to not be all that magical.
Your body feels soiled and your mind feels tricked. And you know you did it to yourself.
You can blame Ryan all you want. Sure, maybe he pushed you into Luke's embrace, but he wasn't the one that made you do it...he was just the one you wanted to hurt and instead you hurt yourself too.
You couldn't even look into his eyes because the violent force of blue dripped with pain and you wanted him to feel it, but you didn't want to break.
But you were breaking. Your chest was so heavy, you could feel it caving in and crushing your ribs against your aorta.
You knew it would feel that way. You knew and did it anyway.
Only...it hurt worse than you thought.
