What I Want
Something was different.
After uncountable months living with this particular crew, Sanji could tell.
Their captain kept peeking into the kitchen.
This of itself was normal. Sanji always expected to see Luffy watching him while sitting behind him every time he was cooking.
It was normal, and one of the ways of the world – if truth be told.
This seemed different, however.
Luffy was following him around today everywhere. He had already tried shooing him several times with a friendly kick in the face, but there had yet to be any luck. Besides that, Luffy also sometimes ran into the kitchen as if expecting to see something magically appear within.
At the very least, it was mind-boggling, and at its worst, Sanji dared to trouble the two most beautiful women in the world about it.
Sanji knelt in front of the lounging queens that night while Luffy stalked him a few meters behind him. Clasping his hands together, he begged, "Help me. He's driving me crazy!"
Nami sighed, and said, "Sanji-kun, when a boy loves another boy-"
"That's not what I mean, Nami-san! Dipshit just won't leave me alone. I've fed him his usual fill, but he just keeps coming."
Looking up with a smile, Robin said, "Captain, you can't do this to your poor cook. Next time, you have to plan ahead."
He blinked, and glanced back at Luffy who tilted his head in confusion.
She giggled, "Next year, tell people in advance. You can't write it on the calendar in the middle of the night, and expect everyone to know when they wake up."
Sanji lifted his head to stare at Robin, blinking incomprehensively before raising a brow at Luffy. He smiled excitedly, and pumped his fists as if assuming that Sanji now understood.
Except, this made less sense, and he stood, lighting a cigarette to think. He looked down at Robin and Nami – the orange-haired of which looked bewildered as well – before he turned to go to the kitchen where the calendar was.
Luffy followed with a gleeful laugh.
When he leaned down to check, the calendar said, I just want cake for my b-day!
Something was different that day, certainly.
Had anyone peeked in after the two had gone in alone, they might have fainted in shock or even horror. Though the end result was much smaller than it should have been, Sanji let Luffy sneak in taste-tests of the batter.
THE END
