At first, Cloud would look away when caught staring at her, and others Terra would hide her interest in the blonde man. But as the days passed and they spent more time together, companionship and comfort turned in to boldness. A brush of the fingertips here, words spoken too close there. It made Cloud blush and Terra giggle. Cays passes, and so did trips, battles; wounds, tears...And even those times, which Terra wouldn't dare tell Cloud, when her vision turned black, and she would wake up somewhere else trying to piece together the memories of invisible wounds.
"It doesn't matter" she would tell Cloud whenever he caught her looking far away, searching into her very being.
It didn't matter.
Not when it all could be cured with a brush of their fingertips, with a few words whispered to her ear.
Everytime she fell, his memory would bring her back and she put together the memories of the warm moments spent together looking at the broken stars, laughing with the others, walking among the battlefield.
Their worlds fell apart with every moment that passed, but they knew that if they didn't have those few shards of times spent together, they would face like the ever lessening stars that dissappeared on the sky every night.
"I will still have you" Terra found herself saying one night, clinging to Cloud's arm as tears fell down her face. "Even if the darkness takes away everything I know, everything I believe...I will still hold you in my heart."
Terra saw Cloud's eyes softening, losing the coldness that a lost path gave them.
Among the durst and dirt, the smell of blood and sounds of destruction; the feeling of their lips together burned a bond over them, deeper than any memory the darkness could take away.
