Looking Forward to the Future
Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia, or its characters.
A/N: Summer break is going to kill me. I can already feel the weight of its long time weighing down on my shoulders. What better way to pass time than write fanfiction, going on youtube, and drawing? My life is slowing down dramatically, mostly because almost all my close friends in real life are either moving away, camping, and just being plain rude and lazy and ignoring me. -.- xD Oh well.
Enjoy.
Rain beat down on the windows, a gloomy feeling suffocating the air around the form who was staring out the window with sad eyes. It was raining, as someone might have already figured out, and it was perfect for the feeling that England was feeling. At times, he wondered how his time here on earth was actually worth the feeling he was feeling at the moment.
Bitter-sweet feelings of nostalgic and just plain bitter memories swirled in the Englishman's head, watching the rain mix with the chilly air that the house shielded him from. Even though the house shielded him from the harsh weather, England could still somehow feel the biting wind, and the stinging rain. Like he himself was out there, standing in the middle of the storm.
Growing used to the feelings, England wretched his thoughts away from the storm, from his past, and the feelings he was feeling. It left him feeling bitter and empty, which was just okay with him. Getting up, he went to the kitchen to make himself something to eat.
Even though England felt troubled by his past, even though he had done some stuff he might not actually be proud of; all of it was in the past, nothing he could do about it now. Stuff happens, some things might have been his fault, but it was all said and down. Sipping the hot tea from the porcelain glass, England smiled into the hot liquid that scorched his throat.
As the stale tea slathered itself in England's mouth, he was smiling even though it burned him.
He can't say that he is happy with his past, but he also can't say that he can't help but look forward to the future.
