I don't own Ouran, I just love it.

He was going to tell her.

He was going to tell her how he felt.

Not today, of course.

But, he was going to tell her the next time he saw her.

He supposed that meant he had to wait until Monday at school.

But, he didn't know where one would find an opportune moment there to declare love for someone.

He could not exactly shout it as they were passing in the halls.

For one thing, they didn't pass each other in the halls.

And, he had never been known to shout much.

He had enough trouble speaking normally.

Well, it wasn't really trouble as much as it was—okay so maybe it was trouble.

The only people he found he talked easily with were Mitsukuni and Satoshi.

He would talk to her more often if he didn't get so nervous around her.

Nerves.

He frowned.

It was so shameful.

He was a Kendo champion and a generally fearless character, but he did not have the courage to declare his love to one little girl who was pretending to be a boy.

Tamaki had no trouble talking to her.

Of course, Tamaki had no problems talking to anyone and seldom required a response.

The twins were another pair of identical thorns in his side.

They were around her all the time, fawning all over her and touching her in a way he knew he did not have the courage or the control to.

Even Mitsukuni in his own way constantly thwarted his plans.

Mitsukuni loved her and completely usurped all of her attention anytime they were together.

How could he ever win with so many people competing for her attention?

He wasn't flashy, or cute, or funny.

He was just Takashi.

He sighed, looking down at the strawberry cake before him.

It was one of the few sweet things he liked.

It was one of the many things she didn't know they had in common.

Mori looked over at the large eyed beauty beside him.

He wished there was a simple way to show her how he felt without actually having to tell her.

He wasn't good with words.

He wanted to show her.

He wanted to show her that she was always on his mind.

He wanted to show her that he knew her better than anyone else.

He wanted to show her that he cared for her more than anyone else.

He wanted to show her that he loved her.

He took a strawberry from his plate and moved it to hers.

Haruhi looked up at him, the surprise in her eyes making them impossibly larger.

"You like strawberries." He said willing his voice not to crack.

"Hai! Arrigato Gozaimasu." She said with a kawaii smile.

Haruhi's smile was sweeter than any strawberry could compare to.

And Mori gave a slight smile, content to finally be the only subject of her attention.
